Hello!
I’m Emily Strongin, an animal end-of-life doula with over 20 years of experience in pet care and animal welfare. I also bring 10 years of non-profit leadership experience and hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of New Mexico, reflecting my lifelong dedication to compassionate animal care, education, and environmental stewardship.
I’m a graduate of the University of Vermont’s Companion Animal End-of-Life Professional Certificate Program and a certified Grief and Bereavement Specialist. In addition, I hold an Animal Hospice Advocate Certificate from the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAPC). My background includes serving on the board of the Association of Professional Humane Educators, being a Level II Reiki Practitioner, and volunteering in human hospice care and wildlife rehabilitation.
At the heart of my work is a deep commitment to supporting pets and their families with comfort, dignity, and presence during life’s most tender moments. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy being in nature, singing in choir, traveling with my husband, reading, and spending time with my dog, Ruby, and my cat, Gatsby.
